Bradford sisters Liane and Dee Llewellyn are part of a world record-breaking team who have been nominated for a top award.
The Llewellyns swam 12 lengths of Windermere, England’s longest lake, in relay with four colleagues to break the previous best of 200km set at Lake Powell in America last year.
The efforts of the ‘Windermere 12-way Warriors’ have now been recognised by a nomination for The Daily News of Open Water Swimming: World Open Water Swimming Awards Performance of the Year.
Votes (for nominee 16 – one per computer) can be made at http://dailynews.openwaterswimming.com.
