Dave Mitton was the star performer for Unity D as they drew 5-5 with stablemates Unity B in Division Two of the Bradford League.
There are three Unity teams in a highly competitive section and the first of nine derby clashes saw the B and D teams retain their unbeaten start by cancelling each other out.
The match was always a tight affair but Mitton emerged as the key man with three wins.
Alan Moulden added a single but the B team led 5-4 as Dave Renton and Dave Rawlins both won twice and Jim Ferry overcame Bill Sugden.
It looked all over for the D team when Rawlins and Ferry eased 2-0 up in the doubles decider.
But Mitton completed an unbeaten performance when he and Moulden took the last three games to force a draw.
Meanwhile, Unity C consigned Hermits A to their third consecutive defeat and recorded their first win in the process.
Unity led 3-0 before Ian Warner and Pete Johnson dragged Hermits into pole position with two wins each.
But Mick Craven and Geoff Dunne both won twice for Unity, while Craig Priestley beat Maurice Bott, before Craven and Priestley ensured a 6-4 victory by taking the doubles 3-1.
Baildon A have recovered form in Division Four with three wins in a row to move second after losing their opening match.
Their latest victims were Hermits G, with Chris Willey the star man thanks to a treble, Peter Warner added two wins and they combined in the doubles to secure a 6-4 victory.
