Bradford Swimming Club produced a 35-strong medal haul at the Yorkshire Open Masters Swimming Championships last weekend.
The club took nine swimmers to the event in Scarborough - the biggest they participate in each year - and were rewarded with a superb set of results, including 13 golds, 11 silvers and 11 bronzes.
Tarn Whitworth won six medals in the 40-44 years' age group, collecting gold in the 50 metres and 100m breaststroke and the 100m backstroke, silver in the 50m backstroke and 100m individual medley and bronze in the 50m freestyle, as well as three further team medals and finishing joint second in the top-three placings at the competition overall.
Another impressive performance came from Sheryl Clapham in the 35-39 years' age group as she claimed gold in the 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 100m individual medley and silver in the 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle, while she picked up a further four medals in team categories.
Lucy Burnside also enjoyed a successful competition, winning eight individual medals in the 18-24 years' age group, along with three team medal placings, while Ruth Rhodes, Louise Widrascu, Christopher Marsh, Ian Harris and Neil Brundle also earned individual honours.
Further success from the district at the event was provided by the City of Bradford Swimming Club, who boasted three medallists of their own.
