Once again the KL Team showed their ability to put fish in the net when the going gets tough, with several anglers having impressive silver-fish catches. KL go into the next round atTollerton on June 26 with a 12-point lead. Sunday’s Summer League match is at Sunrise Lakes (match lake) draw 9am. Catch details for week ending May 15 – Day tickets: Fewston 36, Swinsty 6, Thruscross (catch and return) 1. Total fish caught: Fewston 147, Swinsty 26, Thruscross 3. Average per rod: Fewston 4.1, Swinsty 4.3, Thruscross 3.0. The heaviest fish caught was a 4lb 8oz rainbow trout by Dr Dearden, using Montana. Fewston & Swinsty: Water levels now falling, opening up more bank space. Plenty of fly life tempting trout to feed from the surface. Heather fly still pulling fish, also Pheasant Tail Nymph. Thruscross: Wild winds this week have made life difficult but fish still feeding on abundant fly life. Black and Peacock Spider is always a good fly.
BRADFORD PALS AC
Result of our last match at Lindholme Lakes (Loco) was: 1 David Whitrick 47lb, 2 Paul Chadwick 44lb 4oz, 3 Keith Gardner 30lb, 4 Fred Prudham 29lb 2oz. Thanks to everyone who fished. There is a members’ match at Rawcliffe Bridge on the Aire and Calder Canal this Sunday. The draw is at 9.15am on the towpath. Tickets are available from Simon on 01274-571175. Knotford Lagoon is fishing very well for carp through the day, as well as through the night. Raskelf Lake is worth a visit for all species.
