Tasif Khan was told to show more aggression after last week’s comfortable points win over Pavels Senkovs.
The Girlington bantamweight won all four rounds in the Manchester rematch with Mansfield’s Senkovs, who came in as a late change.
It was a more educated and controlled performance from Khan than in their first meeting but trainer Rick Manners felt he could still have delivered more.
Manners said: “In my opinion Tasif could have been more aggressive in the last round rather than adopting a safety-first approach.”
