East Keswick’s Ben Hemingway collected a brand new Beta 300 for the Scottish Six-Day Trial next month and rode the machine for the first time on Sunday at the Wetherby club’s Tetley Trophy Trial at Fellbeck.
He beat brother Dan, cousin James, and Gas Gas rival Dan Thorpe.
Tosside’s Aran Drachenberg and Cowling’s Nathan Wrigglesworth provided the serious opposition.
Yeadon-Guiseley member Sam Yeadon rode well to claim the top youth award and also finish in the top ten adults list.
Hartshead veteran Stewart Oughton was just tto sharp for Paul Dennis and Michael Platts.
Due to the championship event in Scotland only 60 riders competed over a three-lap 14-section course.

Idle’s Conrad Harrison, with his regular passenger Lee Patterson, lit up Olivers Mount on Sunday at the Auto 66 Ian Watson Spring Cup Road Races with two great results riding their Shellbourne Honda sidecar outfit.
They lapped the 2.5 mile Scarborough track at an average speed of 73.525 mph to hassle Newcastle brothers Ian and Carl Bell over the line in race one.
The second race was carbon copy of the first six-lap dash.
In the solo events, Irish visitor Ryan Farquhar ruled supreme winning seven out of 12 races. His third Scarborough race win on Sunday was his 19th at the seaside track.
