BRADFORD No1 AA

Last Sunday’s open match at Cowthorpe was won by Adrian Lewis with 5lb 14oz. Second was S Edson with 2lb 2oz. The next open match at Cowthorpe is on February 13. Tickets are available from Simon on 01274-571175 or from Tackle 2U on Manchester Road, Bradford. The first members’ match at Raskelf on April 17 is already sold out. River levels may still be high this weekend so stillwaters could be worth a visit if they are defrosted. If anyone spots any dead fish on stillwaters they should ring the relevant head bailiff. Their numbers are in the yearbook. The new extended-hours permits for rivers are now available from the ticket and licence secretary, Tackle 2U, Angling and Country Sports in Otley and online at www.bradfordno1.com.

SALTAIRE AA

The next canal match is planned for Sunday but the weather prospects are not good. The boats length (and other small areas) of the canal were clearing nicely on Monday but have since refrozen. For information and to book on, telephone Richard on 07815-092966. All tackle shops except KL (who will be supplied on Saturday) have yearbooks. All ticket agents have yearbooks except Sagars, who unfortunately suffered from a burst pipe in the flats above the shop over Christmas. The pet food stall in Shipley Indoor Market, under the clock tower, also have yearbooks.
