After almost a month out of action, Bradford Dragons will try to make it eight wins out of eight in Division Two of the English Basketball League when they host Mansfield Giants tomorrow night.
The Dragons’ last outing was a 95-70 win over Sheffield Arrows on December 11, with their next scheduled outing at Hemel Storm postponed due to snow.
They are currently top of the table after making a perfect start to their campaign and face a Mansfield side who have won just two of their opening seven matches.
But Dragons head coach Chris Mellor is expecting a difficult match against the third-bottom team.
“Mansfield gave us a tough game when we played them in the Patrons Cup in October,” he said.
“We had to fight back from a 12-point deficit with four minutes to go to win 68-64.
“I think Dan Watts is one of the best players in the league and as a team they move the ball well and play well together.
“But we should be at near full strength as the players have taken the Christmas break to recover from various knocks and flu.”
The match at Trinity Green Sports Hall, Bradford College, starts at 6.15pm. Admission is £3 and £1.50 concessions.
