BRADFORD CITY AA: Members from 2010 can continue to fish BCAA waters until January 14 but must renew their membership to fish after this date. The 2011 membership subs are: seniors (aged 17 to 64) £32; concessions (ladies, men aged 65 or above) £16; juniors (aged 16 or under) £8. Prices for all other items (second rod, guest permits, night permits, maps and keys) remain unchanged. One child aged 11 or under can be added to a parent’s or grandparent’s yearbook free of charge by application to Jim Munden (membership secretary) or Mike Briggs (general secretary). The 2011 yearbooks can be obtained from all agents or direct from the membership secretary by completing the form in the back of the 2010 yearbook. If ordering from the membership secretary, add 40p to your payment to cover cost of a first-class stamp, or add £1 if you are also ordering a copy of the map book. Any 2010 member who does not renew by March 31 will be asked to pay a joining fee if they renew after that date. The first match of 2011 is on Sunday on the River Ouse at Lower Dunsforth. Tickets at £15 all in are available from the match secretary on 07875-275749 or 01423-523368.
BRADFORD No1 AA: All anglers are reminded that to fish association waters they must now be in possession of a 2011 yearbook. These are available from local tackle shops, the ticket and licence secretary or online. For more details visit www.bradfordno1.com. Members are reminded that Cowthorpe will be closed on Sunday for an open match. Tickets are available from Simon on 01274-571175. Widdington Hall is also closed on Saturday for an outside booking. Most still waters are still frozen, so it looks like the rivers are the only option this weekend for grayling, chub and pike.
SALTAIRE AA: Tong Park is heavily iced – do not attempt to break this. This Sunday there are matches planned on both the river and the canal. The river is clear of ice, call Barrie on 07917-828826 to book on. The canal is iced, call Richard on 07815-092966 for details and to book on. Yearbooks are being delivered to tackle shops and ticket agents on Saturday. Their addresses can be found on the website http://saltaire-aa.org.
BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC: Our next trip is to Whitby on Sunday, January 23. Anyone wishing to go should call Dave on 07711-987833 to book a place. BRADFORD PALS FC: Bradford Pals Fishing Club will be holding their first meeting for current members only at the Fleece Public House in Clayton on Monday, January 24 at 7pm. This is a new club who only allow rod and line (no pole) fishing. They are named in memory of the Bradford Pals who died in the Great War in France in 1916.
HEWENDEN AC: The coarse match scheduled for Sunday has now been cancelled due to the lake still being frozen. But the pike match planned for Sunday, January 30 will still go ahead as planned. It costs £10 all in on the day, with a 9am draw in the car park. As usual, all members are welcome.
