The bottom two teams in Division Two of the Bradford Table Tennis League, Fastbats B and Yeadon Flyers, are both finding that elusive first victory hard to come by this season.
Their second meeting of the campaign finished the same way as the first encounter, with honours even.
The two teams looked set for a long evening when three of the first four matches went to a decider, with Fastbats taking a 3-1 lead thanks to a win each from Keith Smith, Helen Shields and Greg Hill.
Yeadon hit back as Martin Ashworth beat Hill and Shields and Derek Greenwood and Duncan Clayton claimed one each to leave the match at 4-4.
Smith pipped Ashworth 12-10 in the fifth game to put Fastbats back in front but Yeadon took the doubles to leave both sides still looking for that first win.
In Division Three, bottom team Highdale E, also without a win so far, were indebted to Bob Underwood as they secured just their second draw of the season against Hermits C.
Underwood dropped only two games as he logged a maximum but Highdale trailed 5-3 as Tim Moran and Kath Manogue took two each, while Peter Worger added a single for Hermits.
Mark Jessop beat Worger in the last singles and joined Underwood to secure the doubles for a share of the points.
In Division Five, Unity E maintained their promotion push behind runaway leaders Baildon A with a hard-fought victory at Thornbury.
The home side led 2-1 and 4-3 as Adbul Halim and David Wilson both won two but the consistent Hughie Chambers rescued Unity with three singles. Peter Jackson and Graham Foster tagged on one each and Jackson joined Chambers to take the doubles and a 6-4 verdict.
