Division Four continues to be the most competitive section in the BRADFORD LEAGUE, with more than half the teams involved in a healthy promotion battle.
The current leaders are Rastrick Bowling Club, who have put together a five-match winning burst to propel them into top spot.
This followed a mixed start to the season which saw them record two wins and two losses in the opening four weeks.
Rastrick’s latest success came at Pudsey as they overcame a 3-2 deficit to complete a 6-4 victory in which Mick Whitham, Ron Maystone and Terry Bostock won twice each.
In the YORKSHIRE LEAGUE, Bradford Veterans suffered narrow defeats in both their latest fixtures.
In Division Two, Bradford thirds were pipped 6-4 at home by Dewsbury thirds. Geoff Dunne finished unbeaten and Mick Hold won once.
Bradford fourths travelled to York thirds in Division Three and also lost 6-4. Chris Town won twice, Steve Golden added one win and the pair combined to take the doubles.
