Yorkshire Ladies struggled to compete on a large and heavy green at Victoria BC in Preston as they lost 441-400 overall to North Lancs & Fylde in their latest INTER-COUNTIES LEAGUE fixture.
In the home match at Meltham BC, Yorkshire carded nine winners but only won the aggregate by 27 points. This proved decisive as in the away match as they went down by 68 chalks, despite carding four winners.

The finals of the HOWARTH and SUPPLEMENTARY CUPS take place on Sunday at West Bradford.
Birkenshaw (55) take on Greengates (20) in the Supplementary final at 1pm, with the Howarth final between Drighlington (45) and Shipley Club (Scr) following at 3.30pm.
The PAIRS KNOCK-OUT, sponsored by Leeming and Peel Ltd, reaches the quarter-final stage on Thursday, August 12.
