Sian Morgan enjoyed another commendable performance as she represented Great Britain in the European Junior Championships for the second successive year.
The 16-year-old Ilkley prospect, a pupil at Bradford Grammar School, travelled to Helsinki in Finland to compete in the individual 400 metres freestyle.
She was up against rivals from over 40 different countries and finished 12th, just missing out on a place in the final.
Morgan, coached by Andy Pearce of Bradford Aquatics Competition Programme, trains nine times a week with City of Bradford Swimming Club.
Following on from Helsinki, she will compete in the final Commonwealth trials in Sunderland next month, hoping to cement her place on the Welsh team travelling to Delhi in October.
