It has been a difficult season in Division Two for both Yeadon and Hermits A, who occupy the bottom two places in the table.

Both teams look certain to be relegated and avoiding bottom spot is the priority.

In their third meeting of the season they produced a tightly fought contest in which Yeadon came out on top to move off the bottom rung of the Division Two ladder.

Martin Ashworth and Derek Greenwood picked up two singles each for Yeadon while Dave Noutch beat Hermits No 1 Ian Warner. Ashworth and Noutch then combined to take the deciding doubles 11-9 in the fifth game.

Laisterdyke A moved to the top of Division Two after long-time leaders Unity B were held to a draw by their bogey team Fastbats B but Embassy B failed to make ground on the top two when they came unstuck at in-form Highdale C.

Gary Foster and Gabriel Wilding are both in top form at the moment for Highdale and both recorded trebles, while Shamir Bose added a single as Highdale triumphed 8-2.
