Four teams are battling to avoid the drop from Division Three in a tight Bradford League battle.
Fastbats E are currently holding up the rest, with Laisterdyke B and the Hermits B and C teams all looking to stay clear of the bottom two places.
Hermits C gave themselves a boost with only their second victory of the season as they beat Highdale D 8-2.
Les Packer and Terry Halliday both recorded trebles, while Peter Worger added a single as Hermits leapfrogged Laisterdyke to earn a little breathing space in the relegation scramble.
The three Hermits teams at the top of Division Five are having a battle royal for the title.
Hermits H took over at the summit after seeing off Unity E 7-3 for a sixth successive victory, with Les Boyd, Andrew Stead and Joe Jonas winning twice apiece.
The winning streak has included success against Hermits F and G but still only seven points separate the trio.
