City of Bradford’s Chris Brown has been awarded the Leo Beatty trophy as Yorkshire Swimmer of the Year for 2008.
His award comes as a result of success at county, regional and national level. His success included four national titles and he broke two Great Britain records in the 50m and 100m backstroke.
Brown will be presented with the award at the Yorkshire Masters Open Championships in Scarborough in May.
He was closely followed by Bill Moore of Halifax in second place and Carolyn Irvine of BOK in third place.
