Skyrac's youth team has been flourishing at cross-country and gaining experience on indoor tracks.
Under-17s heptathlete Laura Griggs competed recently at the English Institute of Sport Centre in Sheffield.
Running indoors for the first time on the 200m track, Laura came eighth in her 600m race in a time of 1min 52.10sec and placed 16th in the senior ladies' triple jump with 9.26m.
Clubmate Charlotte James is back in training after a serious foot injury and will be running in the sprints at the North of England Indoor Championship in January, contesting the 60m and 200m under-15 girls.
Charlotte is rated among the next generation of British 400m women runners, possibly capable of breaking 50 seconds for the one lap.
Skyrac will also be sending a small team of track and field athletes to the Reebok Manchester Indoor Meetings, organised by Sale Harriers, during January 2007.
