Dougie Lampkin MBE turns another page in his career when he moves from Repsol Montesa back to Beta on January 1.

Lampkin, pictured, virtually destroyed the Spaniards from 1997 to 1999 with three consecutive world titles for the Italian company.

He leaves Honda Montesa with a fine record of four world titles and three years working alongside the technical wing of Honda-HRC, developing the four-stroke Montesa trials machine.

He rejoins Beta with his eighth world title the aim along with his 100th world trial victory. His programme takes in the indoor and outdoor world events, with the Scott Trial also likely to be on his calender.

Meanwhile, Otley novice rider John Lydamore scored his second trials win in a week at Horsforth Club's final championship of the year at Tong.

Scholes teenager Chris Hunt won Class A Youth, while Silsden's Danielle Whitham snatched a victory on the Class B easy course.
