Silsden's Douge Lampkin, Cookridge's James Dabill and Graham Jarvis tried in vain to contain a rampant Spanish trio in the annual Trials des nations at the Vista Alegre Sport Arena.
The home team dropped a single mark on lap one in a peculiar reverse scoring system, whereas the Brits stacked 20 marks followed by the Italians.
Lampkin said: "It has been a difficult indoor trial - it always is in Spain. It was great for the audience though. would have liked to win but is has been a huge party.
