Leaders Yeadon Celtic A surrendered their unbeaten record as defending Bradford Table Tennis Summer League champions Embassy A logged an impressive 7-3 win.
The teams' previous encounter had ended in a draw and Embassy, who had also yet to lose, needed a win to keep their title hopes intact.
They were at full strength and Carl White, Peter Kirby and Tony Boyd won twice each.
The ever-consistent John Chew remained unbeaten for Yeadon but Embassy's success means they are now just five points behind with three matches left.
Division Two leaders Unity B came through a stern examination against Keighley Ukrainians to maintain their unbeaten record.
Craig Priestley, Alan Moulden and Bill Sugden all won twice as Unity took some close five-game encounters to triumph 6-4.
