WASHBURN VALLEY The heaviest fish of the week was a 5lb 3oz rainbow trout caught by D Atkinson using diawl bach. The heaviest fish of the month was a 8lb 8oz blue trout caught by Jamie Wilkinson using sedge. Fewston: Great buzzer fishing as flies hatch from the surface, high water but otherwise perfect. Fishing consistent with a wide variety of fly. Buzzers taking more fish than anything else. Swinsty: Plenty of water, rain this week deterred most people but the fish are there taking nymph and buzzers. Thruscross: High winds and rain once again at Thruscross. These wild brown trout will test your skill. No matter what the weather, wild brown trout are feeding. Match the food source and don't let them see you.
