Alex Wild had to pull out of the National Women's Championships due to a back problem.
The 18-year-old, who competes for the Cleckheaton Boxing Academy, was due to appear in semi-finals of the under five bouts category at Hendon Police College.
But coach Keith Tate said: "I'd been taking her for treatment last week but she didn't recover in time so she had to pull out.
"It was a great shame as she is an excellent prospect, and I think she had a great chance, but it wasn't worth risking."
