IAN Booth (Lower Hopton) and John Spinks (Pudsey) were the final qualifiers in the 2015 Shipley Classic.
Booth opened up with a great 21-2 success over Alan Lancaster (Rochdale), carding a 14-break in running out from 7-2.
Next up for Booth was Robert Holmes (Clayton), who had been impressive in his first-round defeat of Mick Hall (Guiseley) 21-6 but Booth edged through 21-19.
In his final qualifying game, he eased past Gary Wike (Pudsey) 21-10, who seemed to struggle adapting to the pace of the green as it slowed down.
Meanwhile, Spinks was terrific all night, opening up with a 21-16 win over Andrew Tate (Clayton) to set up a second-round match with 2014 champion Mark Hughes (Crossgates).
However, Hughes never got into his stride as Spinks eased through 21-6 before edging past James Davison (Eccleshill) 21-19 to make it through to tomorrow's finals night.
