MILLIE Foulds was City of Bradford Swimming Club's only senior finalist in the ASA North East Region Youth and Senior Championships at Sunderland Aquatic Centre.
She reached the final of the 200 metres backstroke with a personal-best time of 2min 27.57sec to finish in eighth place in what was her first senior final.
Millie also swam to a personal best of 1min 11.25sec in the 100m event.
A small squad of City’s National Potential squad swimmers, who all train with Bradford Council's Aquatics Competition Programme.
With no junior finals, swimmers were placed in their youth age-group event from the heats, and the following had top-20 places: Abigail Shuttleworth (4), George Wilde (4), James Lund (4), Jovana Lugonja (3), Beth Meer and Frankie Woodman.
Personal-best times went to George Wilde (4), James Lund (3), Abigail Shuttleworth (2), Jovana Lugonja and Azura Cairns-Poole.
The women’s 14-16 years 4x100m freestyle team of Lugonja, Cairns-Poole, Foulds and Meer finished 11th in 4min 10.96sec.
