HEBDEN Royd district will stage the Yorkshire Parks Inter-City tournament on Sunday.
Bradford are in Pool A, along with Leeds Ladies and Barkston Ash, while Airedale & Wharfedale are in Pool B with Leeds & District, Hebden Royd and Sheffield ICT.
The winners of each pool will play in the final at Old Town at about 5pm.
Pool A, Todmorden BC: 10am Leeds Ladies v Bradford; 12.15pm Leeds Ladies v Barkston Ash; 2.30pm Barkston Ash v Bradford. Pool B, 10am Hebden Royd v Leeds & District at Todmorden BC, Airedale & Wharfedale v Sheffield ICT at Todmorden BC; 12.15pm Hebden Royd v Airedale & Wharfedale at Todmorden BC, Leeds & District v Sheffield ICT at Todmorden BC; 2.30pm Hebden Royd v Sheffield ICT at Heptonstall, Leeds & District v Airedale & Wharfedale at Savile.
Bradford squad: Ian Shaw (Pudsey), Tony Riley (Brighouse Sports), Jon Edmondson (Pudsey), Paul Rooks (Eccleshill), Craig Hebbard (Littlemoor), Nicky Bastow (Eccleshill), Paul Kaye (Clayton), Paul Hillam (Eccleshill), Andy Hodgson (Pudsey), Jack Summers (Asa Briggs).
Airedale & Wharfedale squad: Neil Nicholson (Farsley), Chris Daysh (Meanwood), Steve Ainley (Rufford), Guy Barrie (Rufford), Joe Stockdale (Guiseley), Chris Hight (Farsley), Graham Oliver (Guiseley), Gary Wike (Pudsey), Billy Cater (Guiseley), Ian Kemp (Pudsey), Gary Whelan (Guiseley).
Bradford will be favourites to progress from a weaker Pool A, while Airedale & Wharfedale will have their work cut out if they are to qualify from Pool B.
The question has been asked before as to why this prestigious competition is played with only seven teams in it.
One team from Pool A could make it through to the final by winning one of two games, while a team qualifying from Pool B will probably need to win all three pool games.
A request for Bradford to enter a second team has been ignored, but surely the powers that be should look at this again for 2016.
