THE Bradford Summer League is underway and Yeadon Celtic put down a marker in Division One with two convincing victories.
They started with a 9-1 success against Embassy-Police B and Deo Jones did not drop a game in taking his three singles. Liang Wong also won three and Michael Chang took two, with Tony Boyd on the scoresheet in reply.
Yeadon followed that opener with a 10-0 verdict at Unity, with Jones, Chang and Fred Yeung all unbeaten.
Embassy-Police A will be the main threat to Yeadon and they enjoyed a 9-1 victory over Unity, with John Chew and Graham Manicom both untroubled and Peter Clarkson adding two. Doug Bartle took the single for Unity.
Embassy-Police C are a late addition to the Division Two fixtures and they began with an 8-2 victory at Hermits E. Eric Hudson and Hughie Chambers both took three and Derek Briggs added two.
Division One: Hermits A 2, Hermits B 8; Embassy-Police A 9, Unity 1; Yeadon Celtic 9, Embassy-Police B 1; Unity 0, Yeadon Celtic 10.
Division Two: Hermits F 0, Hermits C 10; Hermits E 2, Embassy-Police C 8.
