BRADFORD Dragons junior head coach Tamas Okros has been further rewarded for three years of intensive coaching work in the city and at their satellite club in Halifax.
Five of his youngsters were picked to represent West Yorkshire at a weekend Yorkshire Selection Tournament in Sheffield.
Bradford-based Jabari Edwards, who has been a regular in Dragons' under-14s team this season despite being only 12, joined David Ibrovic from Leeds and Great Osgobor of Huddersfield in being named in the West Yorkshire under-13s boys' squad.
Meanwhile, Halifax duo Anna Nevison and Felicity 'Fizz' Raud, who regularly attend the Dragons' Crossley Heath satellite club as well as several one-day camps run by the Dragons in Halifax and Bradford, were in the Yorkshire under-13s girls' squad.
Dragons chairman Stuart Culliford said: "Whatever the result, Tamas can be proud that three years of work with young players has been recognised and that the old adage in basketball – that hard work pays off – is still true today."
