CROSSGATES' Kieren Smith won the Yorkshire Parks Merit, which was held at Spen Victoria on Bank Holiday Monday.
He bowled well throughout and beat reigning champion Chris Mordue (Pudsey BC) 21-14 in the final.

*Ryan Prosser (West Midlands) won the David Lamb Inaugural Memorial Invitational 16 at Hanging Heaton, beating Wayne Ditchfield (Eccleston) 21-8 in the final.
On one of the coldest May nights ever, Prosser came through the toughest field to take the title.
He only conceded 45 points in his four games against Simon Coupe (Preston), Ian Nicholson (Kendal) and James Davison (Eccleshill) before seeing off Ditchfield.
Credit must go to Hanging Heaton for getting such a field together, and hopefully this will prove to be a successful event in years to come.
