HANGING Heaton are hosting their first major competition on Saturday – and the inaugural David Lamb Memorial Invitational 16 includes many of the area's top bowlers.
The club is only seven years old but they have one of the best greens in Yorkshire, so this is sure to be an event not to miss.
The competition is in memory of someone who put in many hours both on and off the green at Hanging Heaton and Batley Taverners.
Rounding off the evening are Blackpool comedienne Janice York and former Ivy League singer Robert Young.
Draw (practice from 4.45pm for 5pm start): Tommy Johnstone v Andrew Cairns, Chris Brown v James Davison, Simon Coupe v Ryan Prosser, Graeme Wilson v Ian Nicholson, Garry Ellis v Wayne Ditchfield, Ashley Daykin v Carl Armitage, Andrew Spragg v Liam Griffin, Greg Smith v Callum Wraight.
