ALEX Waring has had a superb season for Pudsey B in the Bradford League and he was once again in fine form as they were confirmed as Division 3B champions after their 6-4 victory at Hermits H.
The home side gave Pudsey a fright as they led 3-2, with two wins for Paul Rook and a single from Brian Cooper, but Waring was invincible as he did not drop a game in taking yet another treble to take his tally to 60 out of 63 and top place in the averages.
Pudsey are also through to the final of the Tony Theobould Trophy following a 27-point victory over Unity C in their semi-final, and they will meet Hermits C in the final next Wednesday.
In Division 2B, Rastrick finished their season with a 7-3 victory at Baildon A.
Mick Whitham did not drop a game in winning his three singles, Ronnie Maystone adding two and Brian Banks one.
Rastrick are ten points clear of Laisterdyke B, who meet Fastbats C in their last match and need a 9-1 victory to deny Rastrick the title.
