Otley's Lizzie Armitstead won the Trofeo Alfredo Binda in Italy, the second round of the UCI Road World Cup.
The 26-year-old Commonwealth Games champion, sprinted ahead of French world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot in second and Dutchwoman Anna Van Der Breggen, who finished third.
Defending champion Armitstead now leads the 2015 standings after victory in the 123.7km race. Armitstead, who won the Women's Tour of Qatar earlier this year, was seventh in the first round at Drenthe.
Armitstead's Boels-Dolmans team are top of the standing too as they head for the Tour of Flanders on Easter Sunday.
Team director Danny Stam was delighted with the win. He said: "Lizzie concludes a strong race with a victory here.
"She was part of a breakaway group of six, including two riders of Rabo-Liv. When Ferrand Prevot attacked, the others were all looking in the direction of Lizzie.
"When she was able to close the gap, we knew she had a chance to win here. In a group like this she usually is the fastest. It's great that she shows her strong capabilities here."
