HECKMONDWIKE Cycle Speedway Club, who were missing three regulars, were beaten 99-51 in their Northern League match on a fast. dry track at Stockport.
With the hosts at full capacity and better suited to the track, Heckmondwike struggled throughout.
Scores: Stockport 99, Heckmondwike 51 (Darren Kent 12+1, Adam Watson 10, Mick Knowles 8+1, Justin Naylor 7, Chris Summersgill 7, Jake Wood 7).
However, in the under-13s match Division Three match, Heckmondwike won 44-36, following their 50-0 walkover against Glasgow, who didn't bring any juniors.

Heckmondwike face Bury on Sunday at Firth Park, Heckmondwike, WF16 0HH (2pm).
