Oakbank pupil Ffion Myers held her nerve to claim an important win for Yorkshire in the National County Championships at Halifax.
The 15-year-old won the last match of the round-robin event, beating Lincolnshire’s Jessica Easter 3-1 to clinch the title and promotion to Division One.
It sealed a fine contribution from the Oakbank Table Tennis Club member, who won four out of six matches.
She is now preparing to play in the under-19 girls singles in the English Schools National Championships at Tipton, Birmingham on April 25.
