ALFIE Moses had one main aim during this cyclo-cross season, and that was to make the Great Britain team for the UCI World Championships.
It was mission accomplished when he was named in the four-strong junior men's team for the event at Tabor in the Czech Republic – but the Keighley youngster has achieved so much more.
The Paul MilnesCycles-Bradford Olympic RC rider has also won the season-long National Trophy Series and finished runner-up in the National Championships in Abergavenny, as well as competing in a World Cup round in Namur, Belgium.
And Moses also has another World Cup round in Hoogerheide in the Netherlands this weekend as a warm-up to the 'Worlds'.
"Being a first-year junior man, I didn't set myself any target other than being named in the World Championship team," said Alfie.
"To win the National Trophy Series and finish second in the National Championships was a massive bonus."
Alfie had his first taste of the World Cup on the weekend before Christmas in Belgium, where he finished 51st.
He explained: "As Great Britain didn't have any UCI (Union Cycliste International) points, we had to start at the back of the grid, and it was an uphill start which got narrower, hence we got into a bottleneck.
"It was a very technical course with lots of fast downhill sections and I was happy that I finished in about the same place that I started as the standard was really good.
"Cyclo-cross is a national sport in Belgium alongside football."
Alfie added: "Hoogerheide is a great course. I went to watch the World Cup round there last January and I would like to finish in the top 40 both there and in Namur."
After that, he will take a few weeks off prior to tackling the road season before his primary aim of doing well in cyclo-cross next winter.
