THE top two teams in Division 2B of the Bradford Table Tennis League both suffered defeats as the second-half fixtures began.
Rastrick and Laisterdyke B both carried unbeaten records forward from the first half but both lost to opposition from Hermits.
Rastrick travelled to Hermits E and although Brian Banks and Ronnie Maystone both won twice, Hermits came out on top as Martin Jackson and Terry Halliday won two each, Les Packer added one and joined Jackson to secure victory in the doubles.
Laisterdyke would have gone top with victory over Hermits F but it was the visitors who triumphed for their first win of the season.
Mohammed Murtaza was unbeaten for Laisterdyke but Joseph Jonas, Kath Manogue and Tim Moran all won twice to take the points.
In Division 1B, Highdale B came from behind to share the points with Hermits A.
Martin Bowers took all three singles for Hermits and Sarfraz Khan won two as they led 5-3.
Phil Mann, Mike Kosmowsky and Gary Foster had all won once and, in the last singles, Mann pipped Khan 11-9 in the fifth game before joining Foster to take the doubles.
