LEEDS Karate Academy, who have a full-time dojo at their Farsley base, have two new black belt students and two new second dan black belts.
Isaac Mitchell, 11, and Ben Turpin, ten, both gained the converted grade of black belt, while 17-year-old Sam Mitchell and Nathan Wilson, 16, were promoted to nidan (second level black belt) at the JKS (Japan Karate Shotorenmei) England Christmas training course in Nottingham.
All showed great skill and determination throughout rigorous examinations, which were taken by senior JKS England sixth dan instructors Sensei Alan Campbell, Matt Price and Steve Carless.
These results now mean that the club have an amazing 80 black belts training regularly.
