Clayton Rugby Club A won the E Rosse Hopkinson Plate final at the expense of East Ward at Undercliffe Cricket Club.
With the teams playing off level handicaps, Clayton edged ahead at the interval by 58 points.
Dan Hale got the better of East Ward's Aidan Rhodes 67-33 and 68-50, while frames were shared between Eddie Ratcliffe (East Ward) and Barry Peacock (Clayton), 45-60 and 61-52 respectively.
The match was still in the balance by the time the final frames were played, Clayton's Nick Hale taking the first 46-29 against Paul Storey, while team-mate Paul Ascough won 55-52 against Danny Peel.
Hale won another tight frame, this time 56-43, but Ascough put the contest to bed with a superb 84-19 win in the last.
The final of the Yorkshire Snooker Championships takes place on Friday, with Leeds' Kuldesh Johal taking on Castleford's Peter Fisher in the best-of-seven frame showpiece at the Northern Snooker Centre, Kirkstall Road, Leeds (7.30pm).
The match is part of the Yorkshire Billiards and Snooker Association's presentation evening, and the special guest will be World Snooker final referee Brendan Moore from Sheffield, who has kindly accepted an offer to officiate at the event, having started at Yorkshire level initially.
Semi-finals in billiards' Moorhouse Shield competition conclude tomorrow night with second-leg matches of Queensbury Cons v Clayton Rugby A and Clayton Rugby B v defending champions Great Horton Cons.
The final will be a week tomorrow at Chapel Green Liberal Club (7.45pm).
East Ward Social Club hosts the Dudley Hill & District Games League's presentation night on Monday (8pm).
Would clubs please note that both Division A and B awards will be handed out on the night and anyone who has a trophy to collect should arrive in good time.
