City of Bradford Esprit Diving Club member Owen Passmore celebrated his 13th birthday in style by winning a gold medal at the National Skills Diving finals in Sheffield.
Owen won the Boys' Group C (2) with a score of 306.5 points, 24.95 ahead of his closest rival.
He was among a team of 12 divers sent to Ponds Forge for the finals, clubmate Harry Spencer finishing eighth in the same group.
In another group, Joseph Nicol, 11, came fourth and nine-year-old Elizabeth Powley sixth with a personal best score, while in Boys' Group B, Ben Patrick was fifth and Miles Robinson 14th.
Kim Popple came ninth in Girls' Group C, while Charlotte Mitchell and Lucy Robinson placed tenth and 25th respectively.
Fourteen-year-old Sophie Mawson came 20th out of 29 in her section, despite sustaining an injury in training, while in Boys' Group D2 Scott Holmes and Tom Blenkinsop placed 21st and 27th, while George Parsonage maintained his 2013 place of 15th but with an increased score and a personal best.
The Bradford Esprit Diving Club works alongside Bradford Council's Sport and Leisure Service coaching and training scheme, which delivers training sessions seven days a week.
For anyone wishing to learn how to dive, Bradford Council's Sport and Leisure Service are offering week-long courses throughout the summer at Shipley Pool.
