In last week’s members’ match at Pilley’s, W Barker ran out an easy winner with six tench weighing 12lb 2oz, 2 E Harrison 3lb 3oz, 3 D Stephenson 2lb 2oz. The draw for tomorrow’s open match on the canal at Rodley is at 9am by the bridge. Carp are being caught at Pilley’s on a variety of baits and are now responding to surface tactics. Roach are showing signs of getting ready to spawn. A reminder that the only permitted baits on the river until June 16 are worm, fly, minnow and artificials.
Bingley AC
The next club match is on Sunday, May 18 at Eldwick reservoir. To book on contact Tony on 07971-428678. Pegs are limited for this venue so book on early. Members are reminded that the top limit of the Beckfoot Lane stretch is where it meets the grounds of the first private residence. Members are not allowed to fish upstream of this point and on no account should they leave the river bank through private gardens.
Bradford No1 AA
Tickets are still available for the members’ match at Rawcliffe Bridge on the Aire and Calder Canal on May 18 from Simon on 01274-571175. The canal is fishing very well at Rawcliffe Bridge and Pollington for skimmers and roach on pole and maggot. Raskelf Lake is continuing to produce 60lb nets of F1’s, tench, crucians and roach on meat, maggot or pellet. The River Wharfe at Addingham or Otley is worth a visit for trout and grayling on the permitted baits of fly or artificial lure.
Great Horton AC
Match result from Sunday, May 4 at Cerlew Lake, Woodlands: 1 O Hudspith 39lb 13oz, 2 D Riley 25lb, 3 J Falcus 19lb 12oz, 4 K Noutch 19lb 11oz. The match was well attended and the next match is on May 18, Canal Lake at None-go-bye. There is a meeting at 8pm at Great Horton Cricket Club on Thursday, May 15.
Hewenden AC
The next coarse match will be this Sunday, with a 9am draw in the car park, £10 all in. There are now four golden pegs running, each worth £250 each. All members welcome.
Bradford & Dist Sea AC

Field AC
Furlong Lake result: 1 Bernie Hook 32lb 2oz, 2 Graham Hall 31lb, 3 Paul Sedgewick 27lb. Another impressive performance by venue specialist Hook has stretched his overall lead at the top of the averages. It is his third consecutive win on the Forest Lane complex. The next match is scheduled for Sunday, June 1 at Redwood Park but may be subject to change.
Bradford City AA
The next match is on Sunday on the large lake at Stavely. The pegs along the Tutt Beck side are to be used, and the remaining pegs can be fished by members. The small lake is open too. Tickets are

Our next match is at Kippax Park on Sunday, May 11. Meet at venue 8am, fishing 9am to 3pm. Two keepnets are required at this venue and venue feed pellets only are to be used.
