BRADFORD CITY AA
Now the weather has improved, anglers have started to get out on the banks again, though no outstanding catches have yet been reported. Committee members have continued to undertake work parties on club fisheries and plan stocking of fish into our waters.
The club hopes shortly to announce two new fisheries. It will also be netting Staveley Lakes for a stock count and fish-scale sampling to assess how well they are thriving, and to inform about five-year fishery management and stocking plans.
A work party is planned at Shipton Lake on Sunday, March 16. If you can help for a few hours, please contact membership secretary Jim Munden on 07940-814431.
If 2013 members have not already done so, they now have just one month to renew membership for 2014. After March 31, they will be asked to pay the joining fee of £15, even if they were members in 2013. 2014 yearbooks are also available to new members.
Details of costs and information about our fishing can be found on the club’s website at www.bradfordcityaa.co.uk or by phone from Jim Munden. Members may also join or renew at agents or online via the link on the club’s website to our online shop.
The next BCAA match will be fished at Brampton Farm on Sunday. Places are available if anyone wishes to fish. For details, please call Rod Brooksbank on 0787-5275749 or Steve Fox on 0770-8260004.

There will be a series of working parties at Tong Park, with the first major one on Saturday (9.30am). Contact David for information on 07909-813915.
Pike anglers must take all rigs and tackle home. We have had complaints and dogs have been injured. Anglers found to be responsible for discarded tackle or litter will be banned from the club, and we will consider banning the use of double or treble hooks, wire traces, and even pike angling, if this continues. Similarly, anglers who are found responsible for discarded tins, cans and bottles will be banned from the club.
