Adam Cassere shows off his medals
Baildon’s Adam Cassere was the star performer for Horizon Taekwondo Academy at the Trelleborg Open in Sweden.
The nine-year-old (pictured) won gold in the under-32kg under-12 group, triumphing 6-2 against Gissur Hlynssonm, of Iceland, in the final.
Jamie Simpson-Kidd, aged 11, from Silsden, won 4-1 against Mihail Shulgin, of Russia, before losing 4-3 against Swede Linus Dahllund in the last 16.
Ellie Bowden, of Cullingworth, lost on golden point to Norway’s Sofie Jorgensen in the quarter-finals, Baildon’s Zak Spencer was beaten 6-3 by Dutch boy Milan Molle in the last 16 and Gary Watt, of Greengates, lost 10-0 against Norway’s Kamal Walid in the quarter-finals.
