Otley’s Olympic silver medallist Lizzie Armitstead finished fourth in the points standings in the Ladies’ Tour of Qatar.
The Boel Dolmans Cycling Team rider was 23rd overall, 12min 14sec behind winner Kirsten Wild, in 9hr 49min 15sec.
Armitstead, who was a road race silver medallist in London 2012, ended the four-day tour with a ninth-placed finish in a bunch sprint.
Burley-in-Wharfedale’s Scott Thwaites started the Tour of Qatar by coming 72nd on stage one, clocking 3hr 15min 29sec to trail leader Niki Terpstra (Holland) by 2min 3sec.
Today, Thwaites was 75th on stage two in 6hr 52min 43sec to be 75th overall, 9min 13sec behind leader Terpstra.
