FARVIEW LAKES
Sunday saw the first of the open series of matches on Farview Lakes in Cottingley, with cold overnight temperatures meaning there was a thin layer of ice on the surface when competitors arrived. With help from the lads taking part to break it up a bit, the match went ahead as planned. Fishing was from 10.15am to 3.30pm and to say it turned out to be a great day is an understatement. Over 380lb of carp were caught between the 12 anglers that weighed in. Result: 1 Robert Judson 86lb 8oz (carp on corn), 2 Andy Rawson 56lb 8oz (bread/corn), 3 Steff Armytage 47lb 7oz (bread), 4 Derek Milner 40lb 9oz (corn), 5 Kevin Armytage 36lb 8oz (corn).
