Yeadon Flyers B maintained their promotion push in Division Two of the Bradford League with the narrowest of victories against Pudsey A.
Deo Jones proved to be the match-winner for Yeadon but Pudsey will look back on two sets which proved to be the difference between victory and defeat.
Jones and Doug Bartle were involved in both of those sets, with the Yeadon No 1 taking his first singles against Bartle 12-0 in the fifth game on his way to a trio of wins.
Bartle and Zoe Cheeseman won two each for Pudsey but Yeadon led 5-4 as Martin Ashworth and Michael Chang added to the Jones treble with one each. The deciding doubles saw Jones and Ashworth win another nailbiter against Bartle and Cheeseman at 11-9 in the final game.
In Division Four, Laisterdyke B maintained their narrow lead at the top with a comfortable victory over Fastbats D. Mukhtar Khan dropped only one game in winning his three singles for the leaders.
Mohammed Murtaza was also unbeaten while Peter Chan had a marathon evening. He lost his opening singles 11-9 in the fifth to John Porter followed by a 16-14 fifth-game reverse against Allan Jeffrey, before his luck changed in his last encounter with a 12-10 success against Colin Priestley.
Laisterdyke also won the doubles for an 8-2 victory which keeps them four points ahead of Rastrick.
