Airedale-2 1, Bingley Bees 3
Bingley Bees made the short trip down the Aire Valley to Oakbank School for their Yorkshire Men's Division Five North derby.
With a strong squad available, the visitors were confident of a win but made heavy work of it before gathering the points.
Numerous chances fell to them in the first half, and two good efforts from Gav Waddell went just wide, leaving the score at 0-0 by the interval.
As now seems to be the pattern of their play, the Bees came out more determined in the second half.
Pressure soon mounted on the home side's defence and Chris Silberberg finally opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
Continued pressure failed to find a second goal and the visitors allowed Airedale to snatch an equaliser. However, Waddell fired the Bees into the lead again in the 20th minute, just two minutes after the equaliser.
The visitors were now in command, Ben Clough's powerful drag-flick from a short corner ten minutes from time hitting a post.
Inexplicably the defence made no effort to clear the rebound, and Silberberg reacted quickest and put the ball into the net for his second.
The Bees deserved their three points but more consistency is required after the mid-season break if they are to challenge for promotion.
Bradford-1 0, Bingley Bees-2 1
While Bingley Bees' first team were going down 2-0 at home to Leeds Adel-2 in the Yorkshire Women's Premier Division, Bingley Bees Seconds were bidding to avoid a second defeat this season against Bradford in Yorkshire Women's Division Four.
In what was an almost even derby, the Bees took the lead midway through the first half thanks to an individual effort by Jane Sharkey.
She received the ball 20 metres from goal, misled Bradford's defence and, with the home keeper out of position, put it into the open goal.
Bradford were determined to equalise but were thwarted by resolute duo Jo Gray and Lara Miller.
Player of the match for the Bees was goolkeeper Rachel Fuller, while the opposition's vote went to the outstanding Miller.
