Eccleshill duo Nicky Bastow and Paul Rooks were joined by Ian Howard and Chris Daysh (Meanwood) as week three qualifiers in the Guiseley Winter Pairs.
Bastow and Rooks saw off father and son pairing Richard and Adam Briggs (Harrogate) 21-9, before edging out Nigel Breadley and Steve Pickles (Myrtle Park) 21-15 to make it through to finals night.
Howard and Daysh qualified comfortably with wins over Mark Barker and Peter Hepworth (Myrtle Park) 21-14 and then David Beardsworth and Neil McPhail (Farsley) 21-11.

The final qualifying round takes place on Friday, with last year’s winners Dan Beardsworth (Pudsey) and Neil Mylan (Eccleshill) in action. Practice is from 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

* Ashley Tattersley (Huddersfield) won the first Spen Victoria Winter 40 competition after beating Duncan Reeves (Pudsey Littlemoor) 21-10 in the final.
Tattersley overcame Josh Mordue (Brighouse Sports) 21-18 in the last four, while Reeves edged home against Joe Cranston (Crossgates) by the same score.
Quarter-finals: Joe Cranston 21, David Burns 10; Duncan Reeves 21, Brendan Keville 15; Josh Mordue 21, Warren Wilson 14; James Hanson 16, Ashley Tattersley 21. Semi-finals: Cranston 18, Reeves 21; Mordue 18, Tattersley 21. Final: Reeves 10, Tattersley 21.
The second round of the Winter 40 series is on Saturday from 9.30am.
* The Bradford Crown Green Bowls Association annual general meeting takes place at East Ward Labour Club on Thursday, November 14 from 7.30pm. All clubs should make sure their delegates are in attendance.
