Tom Moses cannot wait to compete on the international stage after moving to the Rapha Condor pro cycling team.

The under-23s rider from Oakworth had a successful year racing with Team Raleigh which saw him take several wins on the UK domestic circuit, including the Yorkshire Road Championship Race and the Shugborough Kermesse.

That form has earned him a move to one of the biggest teams in cycling, with the likes of Olympic champion Ed Clancy and two-time Tour Series winner Chris Opie on their books.

Moses, who recently finished 41st in the Tour of Britain, was delighted to secure the move, which will allow him to race across the world.

“I am really happy because I’ve joined one of the largest and most established teams in cycling,” he said.

“It’s a great move for me and for them because they are a team who invest in young riders.

“I can’t wait to get started and to compete for them in both under-23 events and regular events across the world.

“As a cyclist, every year you get stronger and this year I hope to step up even further because everything is coming into place for me to push on now.

“I did well last year but now I just can’t wait to ride in places like Australia, Korea and Japan.”

Rapha Condor team manager John Herety said of the move: “Tom is a rider that we’ve seen this year win at the highest national level.

“He was part of the GB Academy in 2012, so his talent has already been identified.

“I am sure that as a team we will be able to provide him with a platform to perform to a much higher level next year.”
