Stuart King and Andy Southwell (Asa Briggs) and Nigel Roper and Paul Jacques (Pudsey Littlemoor) were week two qualifiers in the Guiseley Winter Pairs.
The Asa pairing eased through with wins over Stuart Hanson (Pudsey) and John Benson (Eccleshill) and James Hanson and Andy Hodgson (Pudsey).
In their opening game against the experienced Stuart Hanson and Benson, King and Southwell were quickly out of the blocks to lead 10-4 but were then pegged back to 10-7.
A four at the next end put them in control as they finished the game off to 15.
The game against James Hanson and Hodgson was always tight until King produced a great bowl to count four and put them on the verge of victory at 20-13.
A double-double combination kept the Pudsey duo in the game at 20-17 before the Asa boys scored a single at the next end to guarantee their place at finals night.
Roper and Jacques qualified with ease after defeating Ken Lee and Luke Teale (Yeadon Park) and Harold Park pair Andy Walker and Stewart Firth.
Lee and Teale made the better start against the Littlemoor players to lead 6-3 before Roper and Jacques carded an impressive 15-break to see them through to the second round 21-6.
There they met Walker and Firth and this was tied at 13-across until Roper and Jacques won five of the next six ends to take the game 21-14.
