Heckmondwike's Pawel Idziorek had an impressive end to his cycle speedway season last weekend at Sheffield.
The 18-year-old Pawel only started in the sport two years ago but his progression has been quick and successful.
In the Sheffield Club Championships, he beat all the competition, scoring 19 points, and in the final, which he won, he got an extra four points, defeating his fellow Sheffield elite rider Radek Handke.
In the under-19 category race, Pawel yet again took the match trophy.
However, Idziorek says that without the support of Team Heckmondwike and The Sheffield Stars, and the help with extra training from fellow Pole Handke, he would not be where he is now, and he is certainly looking forward to next season.
Training will continue for the next few weeks at the floodlit Heckmondwike track on Wednesdays from 7.30pm.
