Chloe Hirst made a staggering recovery to become only the fifth girl to win the Bradford Junior Handicap in its 66-year history.
The Queensbury teenager trailed Ryan Bradley 20-8 in the final but excellent bowling as Bradley faltered then helped her hit back to triumph 21-20.

Danny Sillitoe (Dearne Sports) and Harry Seehra (Spen Victoria) were the latest qualifiers in the 2013 Shipley Classic, sponsored by HH Birch & Son Ltd and Yorkshire Building Society.

Bradford carded their first win of the Yorkshire Veterans’ Inter-District League, beating Wakefield 34-22.
Following draws against Castleford and Huddersfield, Bradford came out on top after a convincing 20-8 home win at Oakenshaw, thanks to six home victors, David Bottomley (Crowghyll) being the pick of them with a 21-9.
In the away match at Denby Grange, Dennis Thorpe (Crowghyll) produced a great 21-8 win to ensure Bradford tied the match 14-14 and guarantee overall victory.
Next up for Bradford is Skipton on Friday, June 14.
